The early symptoms may be any combination of headache, giddiness,
vertigo, nausea, vomiting, sweating excessive, lacrimation and
salivation.First-Aid Measures
- Gastric lavage with 5% sodium bicarbonate may be given if swallowed
- Wash contaminated skin and imagate eyes with normal saline.
Drug Therapy
- Atropinise the patient immediately and maintain full
atropinization by repeated doses of 2.4mg. at 5 to 10 minutes interval
for hours together. The needs for further atropino administrations is
indicated by the doses of alropine
- Dissiove 1-2gm. of 2 PAM into 10ml distilled water and inject it intravenously very slowly for 10-15 minutes.
Storage
- The pesticides shall be stored in a separate rooms away from
other items particularly items of food or shall be keptin separate
almirah under lock and key depending upon the quantity and the nature
of the insecticides
- The rooms of premises meant for storing. the insecticide shall
be well built, dry well lit, ventilated and of sufficient dimention.
Disposal of Containers
- Packages shall be broken and burried away from the habitation.
- The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their reuse.
- Packages or surplus materials and washings from the machine and
containers should be disposed of in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution.
Precautions by Users
- Avoid inhalation and skin contact while diluting because of spillage or splashes. Do not miz with bare hands.
- The users should use full protective clothing which includes
rubber gloves. Dools either face shield on dust mask and overall or
rubber apron hood or hal.
- Use in high concentration with low and ultra low volume application equipment is dangerous and should be avoided.
